Early Help Offer at Brockholes Wood Community Primary School
At Brockholes Wood Community Primary School, we understand that family life can sometimes be challenging. It’s completely normal to need a little extra help or advice from time to time. If you have any concerns about your child’s well-being, behaviour, or mental health, our Early Help Offer is here to support you.
If you ever need help, please don’t hesitate to talk to us. You can contact the school office at (01772) 792302 or speak to our Family Support worker, Mrs. Celia Blackburn, during the school day or via email at celia.b@brockholeswood.lancs.sch.uk.

How We Can Help

Everyday Support
Most families manage well on their own, but when extra support is needed, schools are often the first place to help.

Pastoral Support
Sometimes, families may face difficulties and may not know how to start addressing them. We offer pastoral support, and if needed, we can bring in extra help from external agencies.

Early Help Assessment – working together
The Early Help Assessment is a way for families to get support when they need it. It helps professionals understand your child’s needs and your family’s situation, so the right help can be put in place. This process involves working together to explore what’s going well and where extra support could make a positive difference. The information is recorded in an Early Help Assessment form, which also includes your family’s Early Help Plan—a clear plan for support. Your Family’s Early Help Assessment is shared with professionals who work with children and families across Lancashire. This helps make sure everyone involved understands your situation and can offer the right support at the right time. By working with families early, in a positive and supportive way, we can help prevent small issues from becoming bigger problems. Regular Team Around the Family meetings bring different services together to review progress and adjust support as needed, ensuring your family gets the help that works best for you.
